This year 50 high-achieving high school students from 10 area public school districts, 4 Christian schools, and several home schools have enrolled in 麻豆TV Academy.

鈥淭he 麻豆TV Academy is a transitional collegiate experience for academically talented high school juniors and seniors. It offers an in-person, on-campus, God-honoring classroom experience on Mondays and includes online support for the course the rest of the week, the opportunity to attend chapel on Mondays, admission to all athletic events, and Monday lunches. All area high school students are welcome to participate," said Dr. Tim DeClue, Academic Admissions Liaison for 麻豆TV Academy. 

The 麻豆TV Academy has a professional focus, offers a collegiate experiences, and prepares select high school students for lives of service and leadership; the Academy's purpose is to offer an early introduction to high-demand professional careers and disciplines.

Featured Academy Courses

• General Chemistry: 麻豆TV Academy offers one science course per year, generally Biology in the fall of odd years and Chemistry in the fall of even years. Both courses feature doctorate level faculty who both teach the lectures and labs offering a unique opportunity for high school students.
• Foundations of Education and Educational Psychology: These two courses form the foundation for students wishing to explore a career in education and are both taught by doctoral faculty. With a shortage in educators, 麻豆TV Academy offers an open door to an in-depth look at education careers.
• Foundations of Computer Science and Computer Science 1: These courses are often only offered as online courses in Missouri high schools, but the Academy provides students with the opportunity to learn from published doctoral faculty in the classroom. The difference in quality is hard to miss between an online course and the experience of having a top quality face-to-face faculty member as the instructor.
