Speaking Bearcats named overall champion at tournaments
The Â鶹TV Speaking Bearcats opened the 2018-2019 traveling season by being crowned the overall champion at the Missouri Mule/Dale Carnegie Swing speech and debate tournaments Oct. 19-21, hosted by the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

Â鶹TV Trumpet Ensemble performs at Midwest Trumpet Festival
The Â鶹TV Trumpet Ensemble, under the direction of Tim Wootton, performed at the Midwest Trumpet Festival on Oct. 7-8 at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts on the Pittsburg (Kan.) State University campus.

Chamber Orchestra to present free concert Nov. 1
The Â鶹TV Chamber Orchestra will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Meyer Recital Hall of Casebolt Music Center on the Bolivar campus.

The Â鶹TV Community Concert Series presents the second concert in its inaugural season with Brazilian flutist Danilo Mezzadri at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19 in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus of Â鶹TV.

Â鶹TV President outlines strategic planning timeline
Â鶹TV President Dr. Eric A. Turner told the University's Board of Trustees during its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 16, to expect a finalized strategic plan by the October 2019 board meeting.

Â鶹TV CIS announces senior projects for 2018-2019
Â鶹TV's Department of Computer and Information Sciences has selected 23 seniors - the largest class in the department's history - to work on six projects sponsored by several leading companies and organizations, including the U.S. Federal Reserve banking system.Â

The Â鶹TV department of music hosted a band competition as part of the annual Homecoming parade on Sept. 29, 2018, through downtown Bolivar and the Â鶹TV campus.
