Two Âé¶¹TV students to be crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest
Âé¶¹TV continues the tradition of honoring one male and one female student each year at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place this year at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, in Pike Auditorium on the Âé¶¹TV campus.

Langford recognized with Honors Program brunch
Dr. Allison Langford, associate provost for teaching and learning at Âé¶¹TV, recently was honored with a brunch recognizing her immeasurable contribution to the Gordon and Judy Dutile Honors Program at Âé¶¹TV.
Author Suzanne Woods Fisher to present a reading, discussion on March 5
The Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series of Âé¶¹TV will be presenting author Suzanne Woods Fisher in a reading and discussion of her works from 6-7 p.m., Monday, March 5, in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Âé¶¹TV CIS advisory board, career fair open doors for students
Âé¶¹TV's 2018 Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) Department Advisory Board met on Feb. 16 in the newly renovated Taylor Free Enterprise Center on the Bolivar campus, in conjunction with the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science Spring Career Fair.

Teacher candidates from the Âé¶¹TV campuses at Mountain View and Salem recently began their student teaching this semester in area elementary, middle school and high school classrooms.

Âé¶¹TV establishes scholarship fund for donations in honor of Dr. Taylor
As the search for Âé¶¹TV's 25th president moves forward, the C. Pat Taylor Annual Scholarship Fund has been established for individuals wanting to make a gift in honor of Dr. Taylor, who will retire as president of Âé¶¹TV on Aug. 31.

Âé¶¹TV faculty piano recital to be held Feb. 22
The Âé¶¹TV Department of Music will present a faculty piano recital at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, in Meyer Recital Hall.
Âé¶¹TV Theatre to present "Medea" on March 8-10
Âé¶¹TV's theatre department will present the ancient Greek tragedy "Medea" by Euripides at 7 p.m., March 8-10 in the Davis-Newport Theater on the Bolivar campus.
