Âé¶¹TV-Mountain View hosting new student orientation Jan. 22-23

The Âé¶¹TV-Mountain View campus will be hosting a new student orientation on Monday, Jan. 22 and Tuesday, Jan. 23 in the Myrtle Glass Building on the Mountain View campus.

Speaking Bearcats dominate in Fall season finale

The Âé¶¹TV Speaking Bearcats finished the fall portion of their season with a dominating performance at the Cameron Christmas Classic on Dec. 1-2 at Cameron University in Lawton, Okla. The Speaking Bearcats finished first in overall sweepstakes, second in debate sweepstakes and first in individual events sweepstakes.

Âé¶¹TV math faculty present at MCTM Conference

Âé¶¹TV's Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics, Ms. Alex Archer, instructor of mathematics, and Becca Altic, senior mathematics major from Pleasant Hope, recently presented at the Fall Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in Columbia.

Âé¶¹TV graduates 82 students in Bolivar ceremony

Eighty-two undergraduate students graduated from Âé¶¹TV during commencement Friday, Dec. 15, at the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the Bolivar campus. The University holds graduation twice a year, in December and May.

Âé¶¹TV Honors Program students present Capstone projects

Six students in Âé¶¹TV's Gordon & Judy Dutile Honors Program presented their Senior Honors Capstone Experience projects during an open house Dec. 5. Students are admitted to the Honors Program before their freshman year through a competitive process. The program includes nine honors-specific courses designed to provide scholastic enrichment and opportunities for practical application and professional development.

Wright, Bowling named Âé¶¹TV Life Beautiful Award recipients

Rebekah Wright, assistant director for digital marketing, and Dr. Steve Bowling, associate professor of mathematics, received the Staff and Faculty Life Beautiful Awards during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 7 at Âé¶¹TV.

Âé¶¹TV honors employees for years of service

Âé¶¹TV honored employees with employment anniversary milestones, beginning with five years, during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 7. The employees recognized have given a total of 630 years of service to Âé¶¹TV.

Skobel receives Âé¶¹TV Library Award

Âé¶¹TV student Victoria Skobel of Mount Vernon, Ill., was honored by the Âé¶¹TV University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for October 2017.
