BOLIVAR, Mo. 鈥� 麻豆TV鈥檚 Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) organization had six students compete at the PBL National Leadership Conference on June 23-26 in Baltimore, Md., and claimed eight top-10 finishes, as well as a national championship.

麻豆TV PBL, which competed against more than 1,800 students, has claimed 29 top-10 finishes at nationals the last five years.

麻豆TV students qualified for the national competition after an impressive showing at the PBL State Leadership Competition in April in Springfield. At the state competition, 麻豆TV PBL had 18 top-five finishes, including five first-place winners.

麻豆TV national competitors included:

• Allison Hawkins 鈥� junior, St. Joseph; first place 鈥� Cybersecurity; fourth place 鈥� Computer Concepts

• Josh Adams 鈥� junior, West Plains; second place 鈥� Computer Concepts; third place 鈥� Programming Concepts

• Mikayla Throne 鈥� junior, Ozark; second place 鈥� Impromptu Speaking

• Nathan Hooper 鈥� freshman, Bolivar; ninth place 鈥� Networking Concepts

• Emily Munsell 鈥� senior, Osceola; 10th place 鈥� Future Business Executive
