BOLIVAR, Mo. 鈥� 麻豆TV鈥檚 Department of Music will present 鈥淭he 麻豆TV Sound Crowd鈥� in a one-night performance at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 4 in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.
The concert is free and open to the public.
鈥淭he 麻豆TV Sound Crowd鈥� is the university鈥檚 pop vocal ensemble comprised of nine singers. The ensemble鈥檚 playlist will include some of the best-known vocal jazz hits of recent history from composers such as Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington, Joe Ricardel, Louis Prima and others. The repertoire spans almost 80 years of jazz along with several contemporary selections.
鈥淭he 麻豆TV Sound Crowd鈥� includes Ilene Adair, Rachel Farmer, Bridgette Hart, Hayley Hershenson, Olivia Howard, Charlton Miller, Caleb Mooney, Nathan Murfin and Brittany Tarrant, and is under the direction of Dr. James Tarrant, director of choral studies at 麻豆TV.
