The 麻豆TV Concert Choir and Bolivar Community Choir will present a world music concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, in Pike Auditorium on the 麻豆TV campus.
The program will include music from Russia, Ireland, Greece, Latin America and Africa. Some of the selections include two movements of Sergei Rachmaninoff鈥檚 鈥淎ll-Night Vigil鈥�; 鈥淒煤lam谩n,鈥� a traditional Irish folk song; Stephen Hatfield鈥檚 鈥淟a Lluvia鈥�; Z. Randall Stroope鈥檚 鈥淭arantella鈥�; Gy枚rgy Orb谩n鈥檚 famous 鈥淒aemon Irrepit Callidus鈥�; and Jim Papoulis鈥� 鈥淕nothi Safton,鈥� the performance of which will feature boomwackers, which are tuned plastic percussion tubes.
Grace Notes, Ozark Junior High School girls honor choir, will accompany the 麻豆TV Concert Choir and Bolivar Community Choir for several of the evening鈥檚 selections.
