Âé¶¹TV breaks ground on project to renovate, expand Taylor Center

Âé¶¹TV broke ground Friday, Dec. 18, on the project to expand and renovate the Bolivar campus' Gene Taylor National Free Enterprise Center, which houses the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science and the department of history and political science.

Âé¶¹TV honors employees for years of service

Âé¶¹TV honored employees with employment anniversary milestones, beginning with five years, during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 10. The employees recognized have given a total of 710 years of service to Âé¶¹TV.

Âé¶¹TV awards Life Beautiful Awards to Gallamore, Bethards

Diana Gallamore, director of the Center for Global Connections, and Dr. Troy Bethards, dean of the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science, received the Staff and Faculty Life Beautiful Awards during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 10 at Âé¶¹TV.

Madeleine Loser receives Âé¶¹TV Library award

Âé¶¹TV student Madeleine Loser of Sahuarita, Ariz., was honored by Âé¶¹TV University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for November 2015.

More than 200 students to graduate at Âé¶¹TV winter commencement ceremonies

Âé¶¹TV is set to graduate 236 students at two winter 2015 commencement ceremonies. The Bolivar campus will hold commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness Center.

Âé¶¹TV professor presents at mathematics educators conference

Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics at Âé¶¹TV, gave two presentations at the annual conference of the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) held Dec. 3-4 in Columbia, Mo. Glasgow also discussed his work as part of the HB 1490 workgroup charged with creating new Missouri Learning Standards for grades 6-12.

Âé¶¹TV students selected to Missouri All-Collegiate Honor Band

Five Âé¶¹TV students were chosen through a highly selective process for membership in the 2016 Missouri All-Collegiate Honor Band. The band will perform for the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference Jan. 29, 2016, at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Mo.

Student groups housed in Âé¶¹TV's Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science organized collections to benefit those in need this Christmas season.
